A day in Portofino is mostly outdoors: the harbour, the trails and the sea. So the weather changes your plan, not just your comfort.
Most boat listings offer another date or a full refund when poor weather cancels. The pesto walk's ferry, one private walk notes, becomes a bus or car in winter or bad weather.

For walking, pick April, May or June. For swimming, pick July, August or early September. For quiet, pick winter, and accept the shorter hours. The best time to visit sets the opening hours against each month.
